We are incredibly excited for David Sandmel to share his expertise on Jewish-Christian and other interfaith relationships with Limmud Oz 2019!
David Sandmel has been Director of Interreligious Engagement at the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) since 2014. An expert in Jewish-Christian relations, he was previously Professor of Jewish Studies at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago (2003-2014) and involved in producing “Dabru Emet: A Jewish Statement on Christians and Christianity” (2000).
He has led interfaith travel courses in Israel and the Palestinian territories and is the author of a number of publications about the Jewish relationship with other faiths. Sandmel earned his PhD in Religious Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on Judaism and Christianity in the Greco-Roman World.
