Pre school program for Yom Limmud

Written by PJ Library Director Nicki Smoli

Imagine the opportunity to immerse yourself in diverse Jewish culture for a day while your children are taken care of in a safe and stimulating environment…

This is exactly what you can do on Sunday 15th June 9:00AM – 1:00PM at the Yom Limmud Pre school Program - DIARISE THIS DATE!!!

Previous successful Limmud programming has invited parents and kids to enjoy joint programming, like NY kid’s rock star Shira Kline. However this is the first time we are offering a supervised drop-off program for families with pre school aged children. It is an important part of making Limmud-Oz events more accessible to families with young children.

This year at Yom Limmud, families have the opportunity to leave their children aged 3-5 with qualified child carers at the UNSW Pooh Corner Day Care Centre. We have planned a fun and interactive ‘Noah’s Ark’ pre school program which will include:
  •  A Petting Zoo
  •  Arts and Craft
  •  Outdoor Play
  •  PJ Library story time
  •  Morning tea and Kosher Lunch
  •  and a special music performance by Jewish music sensation Sam Glaser!

Limmud has ensured that sessions during the pre school program hours are relevant and interesting for parents. Parents will have the opportunity to attend three sessions during the morning with three choices each hour. Sessions include topics such as ‘Jewish Day Schools – are they worth it?’ Join us for what promises to be a dynamic, interactive and passionate panel discussion involving different perspectives about this burning issue and many others.

It is only $50 for two parents and their pre school aged kids.

We encourage families to book ASAP as numbers are limited! Click here to book or for more information on the full program visit the Limmud website www.limmud-oz.com.auKeep updated with news and updates - Facebook pageTwitter or join the hashtag#YomLimmud2014.

**There is also an extended Young Limmud program from 9:15am-5:30pm packed with exciting activities including krav maga, cupcake making, an interfaith session, sport, craft and more for primary age kids 5-12. This program includes kosher morning and afternoon tea plus lunch.

Limmud is a non-profit volunteer based event, supported by The Shalom Institute

Look forward to seeing you there!
